Hi all,

I'm initiating EE PR process after my previously failed attempt in Dec-2014 under old process (quota was filled in Oct-2014). I have some basic queries:

1. Do we need to opt between these options & if so which one is best to get ITA (I have 1+ years of Canadian Job Experience):

• Canadian Experience Class
• Provincial Nomination Program
• Federal Skilled Worker

2. Do we need ECA mandatorily done before creating EE Profile & registering for Job Bank? How long does ECA take?
3. Can we modify EE Profile later in case some information changes – e.g. Language score of wife available, I get a job offer?
4. How long is Canadian Experience Valid?
5. How Long is CELPIP Score valid?
6. How long is EE Profile valid?

You cannot choose one of these. Based on the information provided in your profile, the system figures this out for you.

2. Do we need ECA mandatorily done before creating EE Profile & registering for Job Bank? How long does ECA take?

Yes. 4-6 weeks.

3. Can we modify EE Profile later in case some information changes – e.g. Language score of wife available, I get a job offer?

Yes.

4. How long is Canadian Experience Valid?

For the purposes of EE, 3 years.

5. How Long is CELPIP Score valid?

2 years.

6. How long is EE Profile valid?

1 year.

As you said that we can modify Profile later & also said that ECA is compulsory before creating profile. Is it possible that I submit my profile now & update it once ECA is done? Considering that I have Canadian Experience & good CELPIP result, I'm hoping that I'll be eligible to submit profile initially.

Apologies for this hurry, however I'm a bit eager to create profile; as I already lost almost a year because of change in rules :-(.

The system prompts you for ECA reference number while you're creating the profile. Without providing it, you cannot create the profile. You can provide random characters there and, even if the system accepts it for now, you'll still need a valid ECA report before accepting an ITA.

I tried to do this and realised ECA was needed.. I was angry I had missed that step (Had done my IETLS and was eagerly awaiting my results so I could create my profile)

Yes, same with me. I have my CELPIP result however can't create profile. I will have to wait almost 1.5 months now as university & WES will take time.
