Hello,

I have the following situation here. My previous common-law partner tried to sponsor me two years ago and got a rejection due to his ineligibility. When he was landing (at the point of entry), he did not declare me as his common-law partner and that is why the application was rejected. I got the file number and CAIPS for that (15 something pages document).

We separated 1,5 years ago and now I got the invitation to apply under Canadian Experience Class. What information should I provide in the letter of explanation regarding this rejected application? Just file number and the reason (sponsor's ineligibility)? Or attach the CAIPS? I really want to speed up the process and wondering how to do it.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!

You'll need to answer the question and say you previously applied and were refused a visa. Yes - when providing details about your refusal, I would include the file number and mention that your partner was ineligible to sponsor you and why (i.e. failure to declare and include you in the application).
