Hello awesome people,

I have a couple immediate queries about applying to Express Entry via FSW category.

Background | Presently on a Study Permit,
Completing 1 year graduate certificate in December 2018, after co-op semester (Sep-Dec 2018)
1.5 years of Work Experience (India) and a B.Tech degree.
IELTS General score (CLB9)

I just received a Permanent Job offer for IT Business Analyst, which I plan to sign and start working Full Time Sep 2018 onward.

Queries
1. Do I get points in FSW grid (six-selection-factors) and CRS for having a permanent job offer ?

I have no clue how to find out about the LMIA thing "supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or exempt from needing one"

2. Can i apply to Express Entry via FSW if I am present in Canada ? Or Would I only be able to apply via CEC ?

Thank you in advance,
Looking forward to informative replies!
Anir

1 - No, as what you have described is not a valid job offer.

2 - Yes, you can apply as a FSW applicant.

I'll apply at the completion of my course then. I don't know how to handle 'Dual intent' there, because I'll be applying for 1-yr Work Permit (Temporary Status) and Permanent Residence at the same time. Can you recommend me where can I get this information from?

Also, I'd like to know how to convert this into a 'valid' job offer ? Because I see it meets most conditions of Validity , except the LMIA piece as it's not a contracted offer.

Best Regards,
Anir

You need an approved LMIA from your employer to make it a valid job offer.

ok.. Lima depends upon the company... what route they choose... there are like GSS( global talent stream) but your pay should be minimum 80k , at least 5 years exp. or normal route which takes atlaeast 3-4 months.

Now LMia also depends what kind of your company has applied for, GSS are always dual intent but normal ones are single or dual depending upon what company has marked in the form. it costs more for dual intent LIMA.

Now once you have all that apply for work permit first . get that. and then do FSW. reason: workpermit +lmia= no proof of funds required.
