Dear all,

Can you help with the following issue:
I am in the process of filling Mon projet application and have a question regarding previous applications:
in the application there is a question "Have you ever submitted an application for permanent residence in Canada, elsewhere than Québec?"
I have just a profile in Express Entry (no any progress) and wonder whether to answer to the above question "Yes" and if to answer Yes then what is the status: "Accepted" or "Pending".

Best regards

I am stuck at the same point....

Is Express Entry different than Permanent Residency application ?

Do we have to deactivate our Express Entry profile?

Any suggestions please,

High enough Express Entry scores get you an "Invitation To Apply". When you are invited, then you fill out the application, you have then applied.

If all you have is an EE profile, you have not applied for Permanent Residency.

No. If you get an ITA, you may or may not wish to decline it.

According to the governments of Quebec and Canada, candidates can apply under the QSWP and submit an Express Entry profile simultaneously, as long as they withdraw one when either a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) or Invitation to Apply (ITA) is issued.

if you only have a profile and did not submit it, than answer is NO. If you have express entry profile and submitted as well than answer is YES.
