Hello,
I have a couple questions with regards to Express Entry and Intra Company Transfer and I was wondering if someone could help clear them up for me.
My scenario is that I currently work for a Canadian employer in their office outside of the country and I have been employed with them for over 5 years. I am currently seeking to migrate to Canada and also have an active Express Entry profile with 438 points.
I read that with a job offer, I could receive 50 additional points for my score however the job offer would have to be aided by a Labour Market Impact Assessment. Recently I stumbled across information that under the Intra Company Transfer rules offers may be deemed exempt from requiring an LMIA. I am certified in technologies the company uses to provide services to clients hence I believe I could qualify as a worker with specialised knowlege. However further reading suggests this is for only acquiring Work Permits and not for Express Entry/Permanent Residency.
My questions are:
1. Can the Intra Company Transfer rule apply for Express Entry purposes?
2. If yes, what does my company need to do? Simply provide evidence within the job offer letter?
3. Will I be able to live in another province from where the company is located? (My company offers the ability to work remotely.)
