Explanation letter

Hi, members I really could use some help on how to write an explanation letter to immigration why I stayed even after I went out of status. Currently not more than 90 days after the expiration date. I had applied for my PR earlier before my work permit under the caregiver expired. I confirmed it is under process but they requested me to apply for an open work permit. Someone, please help

It sounds as if you are still within the 90-day restoration period so I don't think you have anything to explain, yet.
