Explanation for your employment??

Hi my friend is applying for her visitor visa because her study (co op) visa is about to expiry. After we summited the application, we got an email asking for these information

(done) -copy of all your transcripts
(confused) - an explanation for your employment at XXXX
(done) - date of birth of XXXX
(done) - bank statement for the past 12 months

I'm very confused with the "explanation for your employment". What kind of explanation do I need?

What did you submit regarding employment?

we wrote down what type of job, where and when the applicant worked. The applicant currently doesn't work there anymore

Well, if he wants to be under visitor he can't work, so most likely they want to make sure of that.

Ask for an employment letter from the company where it is stated the relationship has ended. It should have all the specifics for the job.
