Hey,
I was dumb enough to fly to New York City without realizing that my Canadian travel documents had expired last October, and now (understandably) I can't cross the border to go back. At the moment the consulate and Queen's University international office are closed, so I haven't been able to contact them for help. My passport would require a valid visa, or a study permit, for reentry.
I'm currently in Buffalo, having thought that I could file my study permit application at the point of entry/border control. Of course, this plan didn't quite flesh out. Would you happen to have any suggestions on what I should do until Monday (when the offices reopen)?
I know this is a ridiculous question but at this point I'm so utterly drained and stressed out that I just had to make a post. Thank you for any input.
