Experts; PMM,Qorax, Security checks apply to both applications ?

I have filed two applications pre june and post june. I have a unique UCI number for both. I want to know does security checks apply to UCI number or it is done individually for both applications. I mean if security checks started early for my pre june application can it be applied automatically to post june application or post june application will have its own security checks. thank you in advance.

1. Security checks, if done, on one file would be linked to the other.
2. Once completed, the security checks stand valid for one yr. except for database checks.
3. And point-2 might be immaterial b'coz much before 1-yr the pax would 'land'.
4. Thus, a situation where 2 files need to be linked for sec. checks rarely occurs... there's just no time* for that.

*Remember, sec. checks r done after meds... and the meds have a 1yr validity, which is linked to ur visa? PPR is issued only after sec. clearance. So, usually a guy'd land within 3-5 months of the PPR. Besides, once PPR is issued - the security stage of the next file might not come.

Please What is the difference between "SECURITY CHECK" and "BACKGROUND CHECK"?
 

in my pre june application security is completed and had a due date of 28-11-2011. in post june application security not started yet but case is in process with date for 2 months. i have not receievd medicals for either post june or pre june. why?

am i not getting medicals for my post june application becasue of pending security or wat?? can't they link my security from pre june to post june and issue me medicals? will new security take place to my post june?

pls answer dear qorax,,,,,,?

security check is part of back ground check. back ground check includes many things. thx

well i dont know much myself. i only know back ground checks inlcude many things like criminality(police clearance) they want u to have no criminal record, verification form employer, education docs verificaton. security checks that you are not a security threat to canada means you are not terorist or linked to osama bin laden and company and u had not particiated in any banned organisation etc etc (csis , canadian secret service checking, some databases like interpol etc)

But what if you already have the selection certificate (CSQ) will they still be doing more background checking?...Because these whole process is so confusing with many interpretations...or maybe one should just use a lawyer?
