Experts !!! Need help.

We are Canadian Permanent Resident and currently staying in Malaysia. My wife is pregnant and she would like to deliver the baby in Malaysia. My queries are:

1. What are the procedures to take the baby in Canada at an earliest possible time?
2. How long it will take to complete the whole procedure?

I don't have PR yet, my application is with buffalo no medical yet and we are expecting baby in Oct. I searched online and found couple of things
1) if baby is born outside canada then you should be in Canada to sponsor him on visit visa then change it as your dependent.
2) If you get your nationality then baby will automatically get it.
