Hi Guys,

I worked back home for 2 years and now I am studying here in Canada for last 2 years. I saw couple of guys talking about verification calls to their employers , BUT ALL OF THOSE GUYS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING AT THEIR JOBS?? SO my question is IF I AM IN CANADA and worked 2 years ago . Can they still call to my employer for work verification in back home from buffalo embassy????

THANKS

Yes bravoo they can do whatever they want to verify your information.

Anyway, what is wrong with that ! because the company which issued your reference letter containing your work details ( job title, duties, salary, working hours),...and so on, should be able to emphasize the information writen on their company letterhead papers under their stamp.

The matter will be only that immigration canada might decide to call the employer to ask about the details written on the reference letter issued by them, and you have to expect this kind of verification.

Nothing to worry about, and yes they might call your employer directly from Buffalo to your country where you have been working, or might let the canadian visa office (embassy) in your country make the phone call on their behalf if there is any language barriers or stuff like that and then give them the feedback.

Good luck.

Hi Professional,... I am wondering,... what about those who are self-employed,... then does the CHC call their employees to check on their bosses ? Would be kinda wierd, wouldn't it ?

Yes in that case, they might call the company and talk to the employees and might talk to your clients, do not forget that they ask for clients refference letters for self-employed applicants, along with the tax deductions from the business profit and dividends.

They might make a site visit to your company without necessarily letting you know that they are from immigration canada.

In addition to the following documents that are required by them:

business/company registration documents,
• proof of business conducted with clients (invoices, bills, client references)
• balance sheets,
• income tax returns, and/or
• proof of your licence to practice (if you are a private practitioner)

For bullet three above : income tax returns - do we need to submit the completed declaration forms or the receipts for the taxes that we have paid to our governments or BOTH ? And for how many years do we need to do that, Sir,... ? Thank you,...

If you have both of them, send them both to make your case stronger. For the number of years, send at least for the number of work experience that you claim in your application as a self employed, you should be able to submit that since you already have those documents with you.

Remember, the more related supporting documents you send, the more you eliminate any possible doubts.

Good luck.

They do not need your permission to verify your information, they can do whatever they want as long as it is legal to verify your information, and how are they going to let you know the date ! are they going to send you an email or mail letter stating that they will call you or visit you on monday 9 AM at work to be ready ?

They call or visit the site whenever they want to do so because the applicants already aware that their provided information are subject to any kind of verifications and investigation by immigration canada for both security and background checks.

Now let me reverse the question for you,

Who told you that "THEY NEVER MAKE SUCH VERIFICATION WITHOUT LETTING THE APPLICANTS KNOW, THEY SET A DATE AND LET YOU KNOW THAT A VERIFICATION WUD BE CARRIED ON"

and how does that work !

one of Top Immigration Farm's Lawyer.
We both could be wrong and engaged into a controversy about which we dont have any certain base.
They can conduct a verification , but I never heard tht they send any personnel to verify.
They hardly visit the sites of the employers. Rupesh told me this.

For your information, I would like to bring this to your attention, one member of this forum reported that his office was visited by not one but a team of representatives from Islamabad Embassy, 3-4 people to make verification and the applicant was unaware. It will be pointless to detect frauds if they inform the applicant who could be a fraud and then conduct verification.

Hi I have one question which is that if language barrier occur then in that case what will happen I am living in saudi arabia and here 90 per people speak arabic then if CHC call and next aviable person is speaking in arabic then what will happen.
