hi. i am confused regarding my name mentioned in the work experience letter. i was working in this company with my maiden name. so in the experience letter should my maiden name be used or my new official name. i was thinking to mention my name as registered in the company i.e. maiden name and then state tht she is now known as "new name after marriage".

Secondly my immediate supervisor and also the head of the department no longer work in this company. so the experience letter wil be signed off by the new head of dept hired recently. is that ok or is it necessary tht the person signing off should alo be knowinf me personally/professionally.

thanks

the letter will ideally mention the your name as in the official records while employed with them. your education documents will also have your maiden name. you can explain this in the letter of explanation along with a name change notarised affidavit.

the letter needs to be on the company's letterhead and be issued by any authorised personnel within the company (mostly the HR department). It is not necessary for the signatory to personally know you as long as the letter is officially issued and includes all the required information as specified by IRCC.
