Hi All,

I have a question regarding the format of the work experience/employment reference letter needed for express entry.

Due to promotions, I have had 3 different titles during my 6 years of work experience within the same firm. But note that all my job duties have essentially remained the same for all the titles and all fall under the same NOC code. For express entry purposes, I just need the last 2 titles held to claim the full points ( > 3 years of work experience)

The firm provided me with such a letter. The letter states all the 3 titles with their respective start and end dates. Note that the letter mentions the 5 or 6 bullet points for job duties (i.e. responsibilities performed) separately but the letter doesn't break down or highlight those responsibilities per title or position held. (In my case, this is really not required since my job responsibilities more or less have remained the same for all the titles held.) Also, the letter mentions only the last or departing year's annual salary plus benefits. It doesn't highlight annual salary plus benefits per position.

Is this experience letter okay for my use-case? Can someone please help advise?

Thanks

When duties were similar and you are claiming for SINGLE NOC, you don’t need breakup of duties for each title separately. This letter looks good to go. Just make sure latest compensation details, working hours (full time to be mentioned) and roles are clearly mentioned

My case is similar. Glad to know it would work if the duties were similar across titles. In my case though, the person who has signed my reference letter is referred to as "Authorized Signatory" in the letter. But they haven't mentioned that person's contact number or email address. Would this work? Or should I ask my employer to put down the contact info for that person explicitly in the letter? Please note the letterhead does have the contact number of the company in case someone wants to reach out to verify.

Please advise.

Better to provide contact details of company. Authorised signatory mobile number not mandatory by official email id willbe good enough for verification purpose and designation to be mentioned

My firm provided with a general phone number at the top of the letter. Also, HR mentioned they cant provide the email address of any individual person on the letter nor any other phone number.
But he did provide me with a generic email address for reference checks for employment that immigration official can contact to verify. Is this okay?
