I have RF (radio frequency) experience of around 9 years in a cellular network company where I still work. In my letter of reference, all three positions along with the tenure/duration of each (1.5 yrs+5 yrs+2.5 yrs) would be mentioned.
My job responsibilities remained almost same throughout my employment. The changes under different designations have been mostly in the region/area of responsibility, and not in the type of work I have been doing.
I need help with - how should I mention job description in my LOR?
Option 1:
Write each position's job description separately, under three different headings.
Upside:
IRCC requirements are fulfilled 100% as job description of all positions are mentioned separately.
Downside:
Most points would be repeating themselves (copy-paste) under the three headings. Also, this would make overall experience letter 3 pages long (01 Main page + 02 pages of JD).
[I'm not sure how bad it is to have a 3 page long letter of reference..please advise]
Option 2:
Write a common job description representing all positions with the heading "Job responsibilities since joining"
Upside:
Repetition of points is avoided.
Also, overall experience letter would be 2 pages long (01 Main page + 01 pages of JD).
Downside: Job description of all positions not mentioned separately as per IRCC requirement. Question may come to visa officer's mind that which work was done for how long (i.e. under which position).
