Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
On some of the spreadsheets, I've noticed several people who have had their applications expedited because of issues with CBSA... can anyone provide further details on this and what the issues were?

In most cases, the person was in Canada without status and CBSA had requested that CIC expedite their application to reach AIP within 60 days, to avoid removal action.

Not everyone that is without status receives this treatment. They are either left alone, or...the request to CIC isn't completed with 60 days and the person is removed.

Thanks! So if you are without status, is there any way of knowing that this is going to happen?

Not that I am aware of.

Is there anyone on here that this has happened to?

She's one of the most recent ones that was lucky enough to have her application expedited and has now landed as a PR ( I believe).

It gets only expedited to AIP. After the AIP, its just the normal processing time.

True, but in most cases, that have been reported here, it has cut the overall Inland processing down by ~ 50%...which is huge!

Here's someone that wasn't so lucky:

(third post down)

Even with an Inland application submitted, he has been told to leave Canada within 30 days.

I'd say being a denied refugee claimant, that unlucky person was seriously already on their radar for removal.

Agreed, but it doesn't sound like the applicant had been scheduled for a pre-removal meeting BEFORE the Inland application was received...which was suppose to mean that he was NOT removal ready when CIC received the Inland application, right?

*shrug*
