Exceeded normal processing times for study permit extension

Hi, I applied for a study permit extension on August 10th and I have no final answer or any update. I applied for the study permit extension and my husband for the work permit since he is here with me. Is it normal for the extension to take longer?

Yes it is. I had applied for my friend on september 3 and he got approval last day.

Hi Aneep, thanks for your comment. So I understand all I can do is wait and not leave the country so I don't miss my status, is this correct? Do you know if there's an office I can go and ask about my status in person? Thanks again!

Yes, you need to remain in Canada and wait. There is no office where you can go in person to inquire. You can send a Webform.

The best option for you is to call IRCC office or send a webform Enquiry as your extension time has exceeded a long. Sometime online applications jumps and and thus your applications keeps going back. So let IRCC know then they will send this enquiry to VIsa Officer who can approve your extension at any time and at any day.
