everyone who is canada or planning to move to canda please asnwer few queries..
m sure it will be beneficial for many of newcomers....:)


1.) will coming to canada which are the most important things that we shud bring with us which are costly or not easily available there???

2.) should we bring laptop from our home country or buying laptop from canada is beneficial n cheaper??

3.) same for cellfone,should we bring our own cellfone or it is easily n cheaply available there??

4.) what is the average rent of room there n can two people share one room n share the rent???

5.) are international students provided with bus pass?

6.) are clothes avaialble there are cheaper or buying frm home country is better option??


these are few queries which i remember right now...other members can post their own queries n i request experience people to answer them coz it will be very beneficial for us :)



note :- i havnt got visa yet :P :P

If you already have one, you need not buy a new one. But yes Laptops are cheaper in North America than in India. So if you are looking forward to buy one, you should wait.

Same cellphone would be better. Wind, Petro and President are three cheap options. For making long distance calls back home, skype is the best option.

Comes to around $350-$400 per person. Will depend upon location and facilities to a great extent.


5.) are international students provided with bus pass?

I doubt. Don't have idea about this one.

6.) are clothes avaialble there are cheaper or buying frm home country is better option??

Its available at same or cheaper rate in Canada. Walmart is our best friend for such stuff. Don't bother carrying heck load of woolen. Trend and fashion is different there so carry only basic essentials.
