ETA Visa

Hello there,I am in Mexico and I am wondering if it is possible to get the electronic travel visa (ETA) I read some about immigration Canada, but I have nothing clear, what I know I am inadmissible because I did crime, also I have been banned from Canada for 2 years, my ban was a year ago, my destiny is Australia, I am try to transboard airplane, I have not intention to stay in Canada.

If you are inadmissible to Canada and have a ban that is still in effect, then you won't qualify for an ETA and can't transit through Canada. You'll need to select a flight itinerary that doesn't include Canada.

Can they apply for a TRP if the eTA is refused, provided they have the grounds (although I think with all that effort, changing flights would be an easier option)?

Zero chance of a TRP. OP can easily purchase a flight to Australia that doesn't transit through Canada.
