eTA - had to reapply due to error in name

Hello, I got approved for an eTA but by mistake I entered my daughter's name instead of mine. I reapplied immediately but now I am worried that it will take longer to receive an answer. It's been about 20 hours, since then i received an email stating that "The application remains under review and you will be contacted if more information is required or once a decision is rendered on your application."

What are the chances now? I was refused a visitor visa before , then i gained a Romanian passport and with it I am allowed to travel only with an eTA.

Who went through the same process,please share your experience.

It sounds like your application is non-standard now. I'm not sure how you accidentally entered your daughter's name instead of your own. That sounds like a very odd mistake to make. Regardless, the fact you have a past refusal and have also now reapplied will have made your application non-standard which means you can't expect normal processing times.

It's impossible for any of us to say how long processing will take. Since it's non-standard, an officer needs to review it. It could take anywhere from a few days to a few months.

I'm assuming you declared the refusal in your ETA application.
