Hi everyone.
I have received admission at Conestoga College in an ESL course and I am eligible to study my main program after passing the ESL. ESL course will begin in January and ends in August and following that in September I will start the program that I am eligible for. My question is regarding the visa that I must obtain. According to the attached photo of my LoA, how long should the duration of my studies be? Should I add the future program duration as well in my visa forms? Can I receive a 3-year study permit?
I appreciate your help in advance.

No no don't get me wrong! I'm not talking about a 3 year pgwp visa! I'm saying whether I must apply for a 3-year study permit (1 year for ESL and 2 for Health Care Administration) or only a 1-year study permit for the ESL. Does my LoA allow me to get a 3-year study permit or only a 1-year?

Yes, it's possible to get a study permit for the entire duration. Your study permit will be issued by CBSA when you enter. They decide the length. If you have all of your acceptance documents for the actual program, they can issue a study permit for the full time.

good to know

but i wonder whether they will/can reduce the length just cause theres something they dont like about the applicant....

CBSA can do pretty much whatever they want with your status when you enter. That said, they generally treat people fairly, so unless you are a complete dickhead to them when you enter, the permit should be issued for the full length.
