EOI points for certification AAIP

Has anyone in a Software Engineering position successfully claimed the 10 points in the Alberta Express Entry EOI for "having a job offer in a regulated occupation and holding certification or licensing demonstrating that they meet the regulatory requirements to practice the occupation in Alberta"? Specifically, can these points be claimed if I hold an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation with APEGA?

Since you have to work under a P.Eng to do your job, you should be able to claim it. It will be at discretion of Alberta on whether they count it. Call and ask. Show proof that you cannot complete roles of SE without working under and reporting to a P.Eng.
