hi guys,
just to share the way my "entrevue" (interview) went last friday (05/01/09)
it was in new york and i arrived there at 2:15.
the immigration agent called me in a 2:30 explained to me what we were about to do.
he had already the application i have sent on his desk.
we started:

1-My identity
~my passport
~my birth certificat

2-My education
~diploma
~certification

3-Work and experience
~letter from my emploer
~my tasks
~my pay stub
....

4-My plan of immigration
~why i decided to move
~how i'm planing to do it

5-CANADA and Quebec
the agent wanted to know if i did some researches about canada specially quebec and where in
quebec i would like to settle and why.if i'm aware about the cost of living, the job market ...

6-My english
asked me some questions in english to see how bad or good i am (i am not that good but that day
i was in my good shape so frankly i got A+) lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that,
I was able to walk away with my CSQ in pocket.

The whole thing took 45mn because at 3:15 I was on 48th and 5th avenue trying to catch a taxi to head to JFK airport.

comment: everything went smoothly and the agent was so professional and very nice.He made sure i understood every steps
ahead and all my questions were very welcome.

Thank you guys for your help through this forum and i'm pretty sure i could count on you for the rest of the process,
I may have missed some part of it and will be glad to answer specific questions you have.

hi bobine

congratulation ! bobine. you got CSQ. when did you applied for CSQ and where. during interview which language did you use ? I've applied for CSQ on 14 aug 2007 from nepal but till now i didn't call for interview.do you have any idea .

thank you divagirl,
thank you satya,
SATYA, i sent my application for CSQ on august 8th, 2008 but it was incomplete because i missed to put "present",
they sent it back to me and they got it back the 5th december 2008. for some reason i can't tell they asked me to fill up the application for permanent residence in canada in febuary 2009 what i did and in april 2009 they called me to get ready 4 an "entrevue" on 5/1/09.
Normally they shouldn't have called me but send me a letter...what happen is when the agent called me in april she got my voice mail and wanted to call her back the same day. when called she wanted to know if it was fine to me, i tried to get a close date insead of the one she was proposing me ...it's then she told me that someone declined his that's why they are calling me.

I apply from usa ....we did the entrevue in french and a little test in english.
My brother just landed 2 weeks ago and he applied from west Africa, it took him 2 years and some to get the CSQ and another year for the visa...just to let you know that whatever it is yours is on the way!you'll be soon called for entrevue or get your CSQ in the mail just like a friend of mine recently did.

hope this help! for questions you're always welcome!

good luck and "beaucoup de courage!"
