I am a UK citizen. My PR card will expire in early 2016 and I won't have accummulated the necessary 730 days by then. I am currently outside Canada. I understand it might still be possible to enter Canada using my PR card but that is another story.
My questions are
1 what happens if I go to Canada before my card has expired and try to enter as a tourist? I guess I have to declare I have a PR card, right? Would I then have to forfeit my claim to PR?
2 If somehow I don't forfeit my PR, what happens if I then stay in Canada, as a tourist, but stay too long? After living there for 730 days, could I suddenly claim PR status again? Probably not, but just checking
thanks
