hi everyone. looking to apply for PR under "working with people with high medical needs" and I am confused if it is a must I have to take the English test considering I'm a post graduate student from a renounce Canadian college.
I have been working with persons with disabilities for a little over 2 years and I'm unsure to take the test as was informed it wouldn't be an issue if i was applying for express entry.
Any insights on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi

You mentioned Express Entry, so I assume you are asking about the language requirement for a PR app.

Every economic PR applicant must take an approved language test and meet the minimum requirements. It doesn't matter where you got your degree or how long you have been in Canada. Even native English speakers from countries like the US and the UK must still take the test.

I'm looking to apply through "working with people with high medical needs CLASS" as this is what I do at the moment.
Meanwhile, a friend of mine who applied through the express entry and studied here as well did not have to take the language test reason being "higher Education"
That is where I am confused as it specifies through express entry that one may not need the language test results if they have had higher education

Everyone who applies through Express Entry must take a language test. There are absolutely no exceptions. Either you misunderstood your friend or your friend provided you with bad information. Failure to take a language test results in an automatic refusal.

Years ago it used to be possible. But it has never been possible under Express Entry.
