English Language Requirement at Memorial University for Master's in Engineering

Hello Guys,

I have applied for Master's in Engineering Management at Memorial.

I have done my all education in English medium institutes, I will attached letter from my university as well to proof that, do i still need to write IELTS exam or it will be exempted?

it may be exempted by the university but why do u want to do that? IELTS is a good test of ur english ability which could help u during ur visa process. If ur english is not good then u should try to improve it as ur going to a mostly english speaking country. it is a good idea to give IELTS .

i am guessing ur indian if u look at the university visa check list it requires IELTS scores though i dont think its mandatory but it is definitely very important and recommended .

You applied for which term??? Fall 2014??? IELTS is a secure way as that will help in your VISA as well... though MUN allows outstanding student without IELTS provided that they show proof that their previous studies have been done in English Medium.

Well I am from Pak and from Pak for Canada student VISA there is no IELTS requirement.

I have sent to memorial a letter issued by my university to show that my medium of instruction was English they accepted that.

Now, I am going to apply in MUN (Memorial uni.) for BBA as a transfer student ...
so far, i have done 22 courses of BBA with 3.7 CGPA and inter with 72% (A grade) ... i have IELTS with 6 overall L 5.5 S 6 R 6.5 W 6.5 .. i have medium of instruction certificate which is issued by my uni.(Iqra uni.) ... Initially, i was applying with only medium of instruction cerificate because i was afraid that MUN (memorial uni.) misght be imposed ESL to see my this IELTS score but one brother said that send your IELTS as well because you have strong academic profile and they will give u leniency in IELTS but the min. IELTS req. of MUN is overall 6.5 and min. 6 in writing and reading. ... . plz suggest me experts members .. what will i do ? whether Do i apply with just medium of instruction certificate or will i apply with both Medium of instruction certificate and IELTS ? plz expert your suggestions lead to getting admission .. thanks .. people. . i am really need ur suggestions.
lest i got ESL to show this IELTS score because some people said that medium of instruction is a strong way to waive your ELP requirement . ..

yeah sharjeel .. I admit the IELTS is mandatory and i have IELTS 6 band . will it not okay ?
