I sent in an application for my husband back in June, he has not worked since May 2015, however he has been actively looking for work but without success.
He has worked in many different countries over the years in the oil industry (hence the reason for lack of work). And hopefully soon he will be going back to work, as he has already gotten the visa (to travel/work in India) but he is just waiting for the company to send him an actual plane ticket.

The application has been forwarded to the VO, which I assume they are already working on. I assume I need to let the VO know about this new development. We haven't said anything to them as of yet, as nothing is confirmed until he gets the plane ticket. He is not employed with them, he will be on contract with them (which they will get him to sign a contract when he arrives at the location).

How do we let them know??

What happens if he is working and he gets a request for an interview and unable to get there because of work?? Sometimes the rigs don't have the best internet.
Will I get CC'd?? Why is this all happening at once???

Thanks for any advice you can give!!!

What you could do is send the use of rep form and become his rep in which case the interview letter if any will be sent to you.

If he is required to attend an interview he would have to go back to his country.

Thank you again for your reply. However, I assume I need to let them know he will be working shortly, correct? How do I let them know about it?? Or does my husband let them know?? He actually just got notification this morning he is to be leaving in 2 days (always short notice) we are trying to delay it a bit.

No - you don't need to let CIC know.
