Hello,

I am residing in India right now, I was contacted by few consultancies here in India based on my profile in job sites, informing about the job opportunity with Canadian employer and visa sponsorship and LIMA sponsorship with work permit.

They are charging some 50 k as processing fees and telling about high skill worker shortage in Canada and hence employers are looking for foreign employees.

My question: Are these genuine? Do Canadian employers really sponsor everything(Including travel to Canada and accommodation) and hire someone from out here in India? Do they really have short count of resources? Why these guys are charging fees for this, I presume employers will fund them for hiring a resource if the demand is very high. Can someone please help me on this. I am applying for Business Analyst position in IT company.

Basically, it's very hard to find a job in Canada as a Temporary Foreign Worker from outside Canada. Most "opportunities" that will come your way will simply be in order to separate you from your money as efficiently as possible... aka "A SCAM". Unless you are in possession of highly sought-after, niche, skills or experience, employers will find it very difficult to justify hiring a non-Canadian for a technical role.

If you have a rare sought after skill there will be minimal costs on your end. If you do have these sought after skills contact Canadian companies directly or Canadian recruiting firms.
