Employment termination without just cause.

Hello folks I have a quick question.
If someone gets fired without just cause (absolutely no reason for termination given in writing) but still had 8 months remaining on a 2 year contract can the employer be sued.

it would depend on :

1) the terms of the contract (it probably has a termination clause)
2) the province you live in (labour laws vary by province)

as well, it would depend on what you could prove vs. what your employer could prove.
