Hello everyone,

I'm applying online for tourist visa to Canada and my Personal checklist showed that I would have to provide an Employment Letter. I started the online application later on, entered my Personal checklist number and was asked to provide an Employment Reference Letter with completely different information, e.g. list of my duties, signature of my supervisor, etc. Is it really necessary or is Employment Letter OK (a letter on official company letterhead, stating my job position, hire date, salary)?

Also what should I enter in "Purpose of travel - Other" document which I am asked to provide as well?

Thank you very much for your replies.

I have this question too. If I am not going for work just tourism purpose, do you really need this ?
Do you even need the general employment letter.

THE MORE INFO U GIVE TO IC THE BETTER IT IS. Dont hesitate to give more information. They cant refuse a visa request because u gave them too much information right? So go ahead, tell them every thing. ;)
