Right, I am almost set to send our application docs to CIC.

One question: The offer of employment letter that I have was scanned and e-mailed to me. Is that a problem? Does CIC require an original letter??

No, they don't need the original for supporting documents. Only originals needed are those listed on the document checklist, such as the police certificates.

Would the same be true for our Christmas and birthday cards? We don't want to send the originals...

Yes, same for those. I copied our wedding cards, I wasn't letting them out of my sight even though our VO is one that returns supporting documents (some don't).
