good day..to every one

I want to ask what will I do now? that my employer retract the contract from my agency but I was given a visa with LMO. It was released last year Oct 2013 and will expire on Oct 2015 and It is multiple entry W-1 as a skilled worker. Can I still come to canada without employer or agency? what step should I do for me to go forward? is possible to issue a work permit to the border

pls. help me ... thanks

Hi
Even if you are able to enter Canada, your work permit is based on LMO issued for your employer, so you are not able to work for another employer, so your visa practically is useless, you need to look for a new employer--> new LMO -->new work permit

Like what I have mentioned on that thread.. from what I understood (I am not an expert), if ur visa is only for a specific employer then u cannot work just for another company. I believe the grounds why ur visa was approved is thru LMO,CONTRACT provided by ur employer. U can come to Canada as ur trv allows u too but never for working purposes. As u go along on this thread, you can already assume that you would need to start from the basic.

If ur work permit was open then of course u can search jobs and just get lmo.

If u manage to find another employer, u wont have to apply for TRV anymore as u have an existing one, you just need to apply for work.permit. I believe when u lodged ur application , u had to apply for both TRV and work.permiT ( which I assume will be issued at the border through ur POE letter) .I am not just quite sure if u can apply work permit at the border.

Ur trv is not useless because u will be skipping one step if in case u already have employer with lmo to offer.

I am not sure even he can use this TRV bcz at the border the office will check his new LMO and found that it's newer than the the visa itself which,in my opinion, may cause an issue or at least a big question mark
