Employer is processing my papers in Canada. How long is the processing time?

Hi! My employer is currently processing my papers in Canada. And I'm quite not sure of the steps and the duration of processing my papers. As far as i know, the latest on goings were: 1. employer requested for my passport details and 2. they are awaiting for a call (i'm not sure what call. maybe a call from the immigration?)

If you have any idea how long this process will take, can you please enlighten me? or can you tell on what stage the processing of my papers is in now? Thank you so much!

Unfortunately your question is far too vague for us to answer. You are asking about an LMIA? (Are you planning on coming to Canada on a temporary work permit?) Or are you asking about something else?

If you're asking about the LMIA process - it can easily take 4-6 months to complete. The employer would be the one to apply for an LMIA. Once the LMIA is approved, normally you would be the one to apply for the actual work permit.

I guess it's an LMIA since i received a job offer and signed a contract. How long would be the application for the actual work permit?
