Dear Sirs,

Need help and clarification on :

1> My last two designations were Technical Lead and Technical Lead product Development, as per roles and responsibilities I fall under 2172 Database Analyst and DBA but none of the title under 2172 says Technical Lead, I am planning to take responsibilities on company letter head from HR, do I have to mention anything about the designation in that ? or a covering letter stating that even though the title doesnt fall under 2172 still my job responsibilities are under 2172 ?

2> Will that be OK if responsibilities match 70-80% with the occupation list ?

3> Last 4 year fall under 2172 and 4 years before that fall under 2174 , am I going to get full 6 years for points ? I will be applying under 2172

Generally it is okay if your job title does not exactly reflect your main duties, just provide your job description along with all main duties and responsibilities in the letter of reference from your employer. You may also mention this aspect in the cover letter.

Yes, it is very common that not all of your responsibilities match with NOC description. Howerver, the majority of them must be equal or very close to what is intended by NOC. It is also a good idea to put those in top of the list in your reference letters.

You will obviously get points for 8 years not 6 or 4 as 4+4=8, I bet it is a typo. Your total work experience in years and your primary NOC are assessed independently, so that you will get points for your total amount of years your worked, and your primary NOC duties will also be assessed and compared to the NOC to estimate your eligibility

Need seniors view on :

1> I have total 10 years of experience in IT and changed 5 employers by now, none of the employment letter has roles and responsibilities. Do I have to take the responsibilities from the supervisors/senior colleagues of these companies on plane paper or on notarized stamp paper ? also can we add the missing points to these responsibility letters, for eg: total hours per week.
2> Last 4 years experience is from India but before that I worked as consultant in US company which is closed now, can i take the responsibilities from one of my colleague from the same company who is working in another company now ? can a scanned copy valid ?
3>Can we show Mutual Funds for settlement funds ?
4>My degree is in Electronics and telecom and experience in IT, is this going to cause any problem ?
