Hi everybody,

I emailed updated cover letter (change of my employer + updated information about previous Canadian experience) to OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca, and asked them to attach this letter to my application (I specified UCI and file number).

However, I didn't get any confirmation email form them (besides automated response).

Does somebody know, should I worry about this (if they didn't consider or didn't attach my letter)?

It takes about 15-20 days for them to get back to you, if at all. But if you followed ALL rules to send
them an email you don't have to worry about anything.

I summed up the correct way of emailing them here:

Thanks for very clear answer... However, 15-20 days is too long, I applied at the end of Feb, and my application is going to be processed soon...
Do you think they process the email in 15-20 days, or they give a feedback in 15-20 days, but process the email earlier ?

hi,

most of the times they do not acknowledge receipt of documents to better use their resources and process applications as fast as they can.so don't take it personal lol they are not ignoring your email just for no reason, imagine how many emails a day they receive.
if you are lucky you will get an email acknowledging the receipt of documents and this could take from 2 to 30 days, numbers are figured based on applicant's experiences here in the forum.

Thanks for good answer... So, if I understand correctly:

1. They sometimes reply, but mostly no
2. If they reply, it takes a few weeks (sometimes, earlier)
3. I can hope that they more likely will read my email even if they didn't reply.
4. There is no guess when they will read and process my email: just after they receive, in couple of days, or in several weeks...

?

If you followed CICs instructions on how to contact them, then yes, they will read and process your email. It's only a matter of time.

Hello Toby...

What happens if I have sent the PCC documents to the Nova Scotia office instead of the Ottawa office?

Is it still okay?

I don't know. But if you read the contact page for CPP-O they clearly state the address to send documents to.
I also put all the information together here:
