Hello,
I applied for CEC in August 31st with the NOC2146 (aerospace engineering). My employer is in Quebec and I have shown my intention of moving outside of Quebec.
I have recently received my GMCS notes and I figured out there is a REVIEW REQUIRED for my job experience (the Quebec residency seems no issue with my provided proofs).
I noticed that the Letter of Employee that I had provided initially was a generic one that didn't even contain the correct letterhead of my company (it had the letterhead of the parent company). As soon as I noticed that in my notes, I updated my LOE through webform with full duty explanations and the format CIC requires and it is in profile now.
However, now I notice that the job title that I had claimed was (XXX XXX XXX Engineer), whereas in my company they use the title (XXX XXX XXX Specialist) as the Engineer title in Quebec is protected by Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec and only the people who have are registered engineers are allowed to use this job title.
That being said, the job duties in my experience are close to Aerospace Engineer (NOC2146) and also Computer Engineer (NOC2147).
Are the officers so picky on the titles? Should I provide another CSE and explain the situation?
Please help, I need your comments on it as my profile is getting close to it's final reviews and I can't afford a rejection as my Work permit is also about to expire...
