Hi,
I am now working in a research institute in portugal from December 2008 to present.

Before that in September-November 2008 I was visiting professor in Charles University in Prague

and from January 2005 to August 2008, I worked in Spain.

For Spain and Portugal, the visa office is Paris, France. Between my total residence time in Spain and Portugal, I was in Czech republic for three months.

At this moment can I apply for Canadian PR under the Federal Skilled Worker category of Canadian immigration and send the applications to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia?

Or I have to wait for three months more to have the minimum residence time of one year (lawfully admitted for at least one year) in Portugal?

Can you please suggest me? I am confused what I should do.

It is not RESIDE for 1 year, it is ADMITTED so if you were admitted to Portugal for 1 year or more on your last entry, you could select Paris as the processing office.

Dear PMM,
Thank you very much for your suggestions and sparing time. Although, I started work from December 2008, but I came to portugal before (in June 2008) for a short time. But there is no evidence that I came to Portugal, because I have the temporary work permit and residence visa of Spain. You maybe know that for the residents of schengen countries do not need visa to enter another country of schengen states. Therefore, there is no stamp of entry or visa in my passport that I can show as a evidence of legal entry to portugal. After that from March 2009 I got the resident visa for portugal, because I get the job here for long time (3 years).

Now am I eligible to apply for Canadian PR under the Federal Skilled Worker category?
