Eligibility complete but BGC still in progress - ADR submitted

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help interpreting my PR application status. Application is for Inland CEC with accompanying spouse.
I received an ADR on August 11 and submitted all documents on the 13th and no updates since then. I was asked for schedule A, travel history, and resume for me and my spouse, and military records for me.
On GCKey, my status shows:

• Application status: Submitted
• Additional documents: Not applicable
• Background check: We are processing your background check
• Eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

On the tracker, it shows:

• Eligibility: Completed
• Background check: In progress

I’m trying to understand what this means in practice. Has anyone been in a similar situation? based on the ADR I received, how likely is it that my application is now going through a comprehensive background check?
Would love to hear from others who’ve gone through something similar. Any insight on timelines or what to expect next would be really helpful.

It is fairly common to hear nothing. For background check and eligibility rely on PR tracker. GCKey is very legacy and won't update fast enough to show any meaningful change here. GCKey can also be used for Final Decision, but can still lag behind portal email for you.

Also, this is fairly expected. There's no standard timeline as these things are very contextual to your application, how your VO is processing your application, whether there'll be a pause before work is resumed on your application, etc. Anyone else that says "X days/weeks/months" is being anecdotal.

Are there any indications (apart from it taking many months) that an application is going through a comprehensive background check? this is my main concern as I've seen posts here from people stuck in this stage for more than a year and was thinking a compulsory military service might be the trigger.

You get a SS/Security screening note in your GCMS/CBSA notes if you are in comprehensive security screening during your background check.

Got it. So far I’ve managed to hold off on ordering GCMS/CBSA notes since I feel it’s still too early. I’ll probably give it another month before doing that.

Nope. But I don't have an activity update for the eligibility either and that is completed.
