Hello!

My PGWP is expiring in about 2 weeks however, I have put in my PR and BOWP applications so I am now under implied status.

I lost my job a couple weeks ago, and just applied for EI benefits and started putting in my claims. My question is, once my SIN expires, will I be able to keep filing my EI reports? I know I won’t have access to my service Canada account, but the reporting website is different.

Thanks :)

Your SIN needs to be valid. To qualify for ongoing EI payments, you must be actively seeking work and available to work.

Hey, I am in the same boat. My work permit has already expired. I have filed my PR application as well as work permit extension application. I lost my job a month ago. I am on EI, since my SIN is expired can I still receive benefits if I am allowed to submit my report? I can't really login to my EI Service Canada account. I will call IRCC tomorrow but I'll appreciate any inputs or guidance with this situation and the best way to deal with it.
