Hi all,

My EE profile has got rejected right after submission so am trying to check on eligiibty first (67 points) for submission and to make sure that am not missing anything


- 12 Points for Age is 29 -
- 21 Points for Education - Bachelors ( four years ) - ECA/WES done.
- 15 Points for Overall work experience is 9 years on same company - and one year before moving to Canada in the US on an H1B
- 16 Points for IELTS: S-7, L-6.5, R-6, W-6, and overall CLP: 7
- 10 points for a valid job offer: Currently am in Canada, on Closed ICT work-permit since March 1st, 2020 ( Employer tied and LMEA exempt )

Total - 74 P points and am looking eligible for what my understanding

Please review and suggest if this is appropriate.

Since your job is LMIA exempt, you cannot claim the 10 points for having a valid job offer until after you have worked for that employer for a full year in Canada.

If you look at the full description for "situation 2", you'll see it also includes the following requirements which you didn't quote above.

You must also meet all of the following conditions:

  • Your work permit is valid both when you apply and when the permanent resident visa is issued (or you’re allowed to work in Canada without a permit when your permanent resident visa is issued).
  • Your current employer has made a valid job offer based on you being accepted as a skilled worker.
  • You are currently working for the employer specified on your work permit.
  • You have been working for that employer for at least 1 year, continuous full-time or part-time equivalent.
