Educational Credential Assessment

Dear All,

I would like to query about an educational point assessment for FSWP of Canada.

The query is about equivalency point assessment for foreign education:

I have an Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Later I have done my MBA in Management Information System. Both the institutions degrees are approved by WES and no problem with the degree approval.

But the doubt is, Since I'm a Telecom Engineer (Telecommunications : Transport Network Planner which deals with Optical & Microwave & Data Network Planning) and will be applying under NOC 2147, will my both degrees are counted in education Points table for FSWP since MBA degree is not directly relevant to my field of expertise but have significance as well such as business performance understanding, project management skills etc. In immigration website, they simply told, Masters degree will get XX points but does not require any relevancy is mandatory.


Can someone tell me the correct information is that, If I will evaluate by both degree by WES, will I get points for my MBA(Masters in Business Administration) ?

I'm sort of in the same boat as you- I have a bachelors in one thing, but my Masters in something else. From the way it has been explained to me, only the Masters should be evaluated. This is due to the fact it holds more weight in terms of points. No extra points are given for having the Bachelors.
