Hi, my education is:

Primary school: 7 years
High School: 6 years (it's a technical high school, I'm Topographer)
University: 6 years course full time (Civil Engineer)
University: 2 years part time (Oil and Gas Production Specialist, it is not a Master degree)

How many points do I get? 20 or 22?

Regards

at the end of your technical high school, did you get a diploma or high school certificate.

I am going to presume the later, then you get 20 points if you have up to a bachelors degree.

If in there somehow you have a 3 year diploma, then you get 22 points.

I agree with Rupesh.

20 - If you got a Bachelor's.
22 - If you attained a 3 Year Diploma.

Experts, I need some guidance here as well. Below is my education. How much can I claim:

12 years till higher secondary school
3 years Bachelor's Degree
Project Management Professional [PMP] certification [The reason why I am including this is because, this certification is categorized under Professional Category which, I suppose is equivalent to Chartered Account professional certification. This certification is issued by professional body - Project Management Institute]

Ofcourse, I have a bunch of IT certifications but, I am pretty sure that those cannot be counted towards educational points.

Let me know how much I could claim for education please?

Thank you.

That's the part I don't understand. Why a 3-year Diploma 22 points and a 6-year Degree 20 points? I think that my 6-year degree is equivalent to a MSc, but none cares about what I think.

Its probably because at the time they created the point structure, they probably needed people with diploma more than degree. Some Phd's think its unfair that they get the same points as masters or that a 4 year bachelors get the same as 3 year bachelors, etc. Its also hard for them to have exception for every single situation. But i totally understand what you mean. Is your 6 year degree a post bachelors degree or offered by the graduate school?

Sorry mate. Whilst appreciating and understanding your concerns, the fact is , I am not the CIC.
This is what they have laid down as rules WRT the points. Here check it out yourself.

Yes, that must be the reason. I wonder if my 2-year "post-graduate" course (Oil & Gas...) qualifies as a second Bachelor degree... :'(

"Two or more university degrees at the Bachelor’s level AND at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study - 22 points"

it has to be a bachelors degree.
