Do I need to mention my Bachelors degree in Education history, if I have Masters degree in Canada.

Yes you need to mention all in your education history

Wouldn't I need an ECA if I mention it there?

Yes, you definitely need ECA!

But, I have a masters degree from Canada. I did not mention the Bachelors degree in EE profile as well.

Its better to get ECA done for your bachelors. Education history means your complete education history starting from Bachelors.

No, you don't need to mention your high school. Starting from your bachelors or any diploma.

Dang! I don't think I can get ECA done in 50 days, getting transcripts from my Old university back in India will take long time!

I will mention the bachelors and put no for ECA.

you do not need an ECA if you are claiming for your highest candain degree.

Lol that's not an option bruh !! You have to get ECA either ways, there had been cases of refusal for ECA's, so why do you want to take your chances. Get your ECA done.

Obviously he doesn't need ECA for his Canadian study. He wanted to know about his previous bachelors and if he should mention it in his EE profile.

Getting ECA doen for your foreign degree is not compulsory, Its optional. If you get the ECA done you may get more points but if you dont want to claim any points for the foreign degree, Just mention it in the education history and there will be a question where it says " Does this person has ECA done for this degree" .Just say no.

The OP is wrong in this regard.

Hey Karmic

Don't worry.. avoid other messages.. except the quoted above.... You don't need to go for ECA if you already have Canadian Degree. ECA is mandatory when you claim for more points but by having Canadian degree you already have proved your eligibility..

In short, I have Canadian Masters Degree and I didn't get any ECA done for previous studies from back home. But you have to(must) mention all your education history in any situation. ECA is optional and you still can apply later to get extra points.

I hope this helps!!

Thanks,

The whole purpose of ECA is to claim more points. I did my masters from here as well, but why give CIC a reason to delay the application????
