citizenship application process

Hello Guys,

Does anyone know how long it takes to apply for citizenship?
I have heard of a lot of people that they say different things.
- it takes 5 years after you got accepted.
- it takes 3 years after you got your PR.
- it takes 4 years after you got your PR.
In all the time you should be in Canada or else it will be delayed like; 30 days away will be counted 15 days delay.

Thanks

Mithra

You must also be physically present for at least 183 days during each of four calendar years that are fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date of application. These requirements do not apply to children under 18."

Hello Mithtra

In order to apply for citizenship you must stay in canada 4 years out of 6 years of being in PR and based on new rules and regulation by CIC, your time before granted PR does not count.

Hope this answer your question.

Regards,

Hello officer.
