Hello All,

I have a few questions and hopefully somebody can provide me with some answers? (Outland)

1. If it says "Decision made" under the PR processing column, and it states that " A decision has......" but with NO "Medicals have been received" before the statement, does it mean that the PR application has been denied? ( There was no passport request prior to the status change)

2. If the decision is a denial\ refusal, will the status still change from "Decision Made" to "Complete" ? If so how long will this take?

3. Even if the PR VISA is denied wont the embassy still require you to submit your passport, so that they can stamp it saying that a PR application was denied similar to what they do when a TRV is denied?

Thank you in advance

If you applied outland, it is likely that you may see "decision made" two times during the process.
The first being after usually waiting a month and seeing decision made. This means they have made a decision on whether the sponsor was approved as a sponsor. They will send you a letter of the decision and if you are approved for the sponsor then they send the application to the visa office overseas where they will process the applicant part of the application. They will either ask for an interview or not. When you receive a decision made during the second portion of the application then they have decided to approve or deny the application. If you weren't asked for additional documents or interview then this is usually a good sign.

If you could explain when you sent your application in to Mississauga and what office we all might be able to better help answer you questions. Sorry I could not help more but hopefully you get the answers you are looking for. Good luck.

Thank you for your quick response. I am refering to the second potion of the application process. This is a family (parents) application. An interview was held two months back.

You're welcome. I would suspect that if they were going to issue the PR visa in their passports that they would have sent for a request for them before decision made. My advice would be to call CIC and ask them if it shows what the decision was. Otherwise you will have to wait for the letter. Also, using the search function on this forum may help you find another thread with a similar topic. Good luck and hope they are approved. :)
