ECAS Status/Lines Example

Hi, can someone please share their ecas lines - just wondering what comes after the first 2, such as:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 18, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 12, 2017.
P.s. I just received my AOR email yesterday, on Dec. 11. But as you can see, it shows that my app. was received on Oct. 18.

QUESTION/Comment: I assume "In Process" comes AFTER Line 2 (sent out study guide)?
 
The status on the first Page will be In Process instead of Application Received.
The details will have a third line.."we started processing your application on Date"

For your peace of mind how Status updates I'm sharing my time line.

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 9, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canadaon February 20, 2017.
  3. We started processing your application on February 23, 2017.
  4. We sent you correspondence on March 29, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  5. We sent you a notice on July 31, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 31, 2017 at 7:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  6. We sent you a notice on September 15, 2017 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on October 2, 2017 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  7. You became a Canadian citizen on October 2, 2017

Do they actually mail you a hard copy of the book for "Discover Canada"? or do they just mean they sent you a link to it online?

They send you a link to download the book if they are sending your AOR through email, and if they are sending AOR by mail then they mail the hardcopy. You can order the hardcopy too online for free and it will be sent directly to your address. Hope that helps.

Its a hyperlink on ECAS. They dont send out the book. You have to order it if you want hardcopy unless AOR is sent through Mail.

I ordered a hard copy 10 days ago. It has not arrived yet. I'll keep the forum posted when I get it. Since it's free and they send it for free I think it'll take time.
