Yes sometimes its very true not to rely much on E-cas status....Its also varies on relative visa offices as someone in the forum claimed... But it seems to me as E cas usually regulated by CIC (no local E cas system under local visa office web).......all responsibility of updating E cas should borne with CIC. I think its very important to have some more regular update (may be just one line or notes) on E cas (whatever positive/negative) as this is the only official way for us to be able to know about the progress of processing..time to time.. I know there has been growing workload and backlogs at each visa offices but as the IO might be connected with the CIC central computer network at least a monthly progress could be of real value for those of us are waiting indefinite sometimes under confusion and clueless!! Hope after 08 May the E-cas will be updated with its back logs as there is some recent red colored notice appearing while checking E cas.........
