ECA Requirements

Hi All, I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from USA and Bachelors Degree from India. I am planning to apply for ECA via WES. Would I need to get only my highest degree evaluated which is Master's degree from USA or both Master's and Bachelor's degree. I am hoping to see if I could skip the tedious process of obtaining the transcripts from India and just send my Master's degree transcripts to WES.

Secondly, My wife is a physician and primary applicant to our application. To obtain ECA for her, it is required to obtain her medical diploma ECA report via Medical Council of Canada which would cost $600. WES can also produce ECA reports for medical diploma $200 but I am not sure if they will be acceptable by CIC Immigration.

Please let me know if anyone has any experience and has a similar case. Thanks.

I would recommend doing both, but I *think* you could get away with doing only the Master's degree.

Her application will be refused if she does not use the MCC for the ECA. Sucks that it costs so much, but it will likely be useful in the future.

I recommend doing both. My wife and I live in London and did our masters in London. We sent an email to the university and they sent the documents to WES which was hassle free. For our India documents, we had to request our families to go to the university and arrange documents. If you don't have anyone in India and you wouldn't mind spending money, use yourmaninindia.com or similar to do the work for you. I have never used their services before so can't recommend.

You would have to use MCC for ECA. There is no other way about it. Immigration is expensive. There are no shortcuts and discounts.
