Hey, just came across this forum and just wanted some help, can anyone tell me what does secondary high school diploma and four year undergraduate study means?
Just received my WES report and though I aint that aware of how to accurately interpret it those remarks sounds negative to me..
Hope I'll get some help from anyone who have a kind heart.
Thanks in advance!:)

Hey hi.:)

It says exactly like that.

Canadian equivalency : secondary school diploma and four years of undergraduate study.

This doesn't count at all right?
So you don’t get any points for secondary school. Should be able to count the four years degree.

I'm sorry but I still don't get it though. I'm really sorry to bother you and super thankful for your reply but this doesn't mean I get a one year post secondary credential to qualify is it?

No, your secondary school diploma is not post secondary. You get credit for the 4 year program only.

Not sure the second bit is right. WES says "4 years of undergraduate study". This doesn't indicate equivalence for an actual degree.

Good point as I wondered that. So OP has just 4 years but not equivalency to a degree, and a secondary diploma with no point.

OP, did you graduate from university? What was the name of your program?

It confuses me as I know it really doesn't qualify or it's not equivalent to as post secondary credential as stated on one of the requirements.

Foreign credentials
For applicants with a foreign educational credential, the ECA report must

  • indicate that the credential is equivalent to a completed Canadian one-year post-secondary (or higher) educational credential
I haven't finished my college, only finished three years as Bachelor of Science in Accountacy in a University from Philippines.

So you have applied for an ECA with an uncompleted program, correct? Once completed, then reapply for the ECA to get equivalency to a degree.

Yes for your first question.:)
Oh okay..do I have to pay for another fee for re application then?
