She is currently studying in Colombia, and is from Colombia. Our intention is to have her come here in 4 to 5 years. What is the best way to have her come here and live here permanently?

Assuming you are a Canadian PR or citizen, you will need to sponsor her for permanent residency as your spouse / partner. In order to sponsor her, you need to either be married or common law (common law means you have lived together for at least one full year).

I need more of a steo by step guid.e She is not wealthy and i cant go love in colombia as i have children jere in canada. i am a citizen btw.

I would recommend that you read this post in the Family Sponsorship section of the forum:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

Detailed information for sponsoring your spouse is available on the CIC web site here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

If you have further questions, post them to the Family Sponsorship section of the forum. If you really want someone to take you through the process step by step, then I would recommend you hire an immigrate consultant or lawyer to assist you.

I am wondering if we should marry here or in Colombia. Plus i have heard that if sje comes for a vacation in Canada they question Colombians if they intend on getting married in Canada when applying for a visitors visa.- and it is often refused if they say that is the intention. Going to the official Canadiansite is well and good but i need some practical experenc. Can a mod move this thread to the appropriate forum? Thank.
