Hey guys! This is my first post...so I'm kind of new to this. I received my ITA on March 1 and I'm currently about to finish gathering all the required documents but I have one BIG question. Do I need to tranlsate my documents to English?

This is either very obvious or very far-off, but at no point during all my communication with the CIC or the list of documents needed I have read the word TRANSLATION.

Thank you in advance

Any document which is not in English should be accompanied by a certified translation. Otherwise, there is no need.

Thanks!!! I really appreciate your answer. I don't want to be rude or anything but where did you read this, or how did you know you had to translate your documents?

agency@taontario.ca here is a translation agency i used. super cheap compare to the others...and CIC needs everything translated to English.

Thanl you very much guys! I'm a certified translator working for a major university in Mexico, is it ok if I do and certify the translations myself or will it be necessary to have them translated in Canada.

I would double check CIC, why dont you use someone that you are 100% sure that CIC recognize is will 100% accept?

It must be done by a public sworn translator.
